Q. How can I ensure I will get a babysitter?

A. Once your payment is received and we have all your information needed for the babysitting placement. We expect a 48 hour time period before a sitter confirms this placement. If confirmation for a sitter has not been made in this time then we will contact all of our sitters in the particular region and this should ensure confirmation is made. If a babysitting placement is required within 24 hours, we will SMS every sitter in the region and they will phone you directly. Although RMB Endeavor to find a babysitter for you on request we can not always guarantee this will be possible. In the unfortunate circumstance where a babysitter can not be found, for your requested date/s a full refund of the RMB agency fee will be refunded. This full refund also applies if the booked babysitter cancels or no-shows to your job and a second babysitter can not be found. RMB can not be held responsible for cancellations or no-shows of a babysitter.

Q. Can I meet the babysitter beforehand?

A. Sometimes this is possible, depending how far in advance job has been booked. We strongly recommend that if you do arrange to meet with the sitter before hand that this is in a public place. There are times when this is unable to happen so we recommend arranging the sitter to arrive half an hour earlier than you need to leave. This will give you a chance to introduce the sitter to the family.

Q. Will I get the same babysitter every time I book?

A. You are able to request a certain babysitter, but they might not always be available. We will always let the sitter know that you have requested them and if they are unable to accept the booking, then it will be made available to others.

Q. Do you offer overnight babysitting?

A. Yes we do. Some of our nannies and sitters can do overnight, weekend work or even week day overnight sitting. There are limited amount of sitters available for this service so it will be subject to availability. We recommend plenty of notice for this service and please contact us directly.

Q. I am unsure about leaving my children with a stranger?

A. This is a normal response. All Rockmybaby™ sitters are chosen for there experience in caring for children, many are trained in the Education and Health professions; others are mothers who have their own children or even grandmothers. All our sitters are interviewed, referenced and police checked. Once a sitter has confirmed the sitting job, an email will be sent out to you with their profile. This will provide you with more information about the sitter before they make contact with you. If you have any questions please give us a call and we will put your mind at rest.

Q. Are all the nannies/babysitters screened?

A. Yes, we either conduct a interview or in some cases a web-cam interview. All of our sitters are referenced checked; we will ring their references and make sure they meet our standard. We also do a police check on all of our sitters; sometimes this process can take up to 4-6 weeks, so some will be pending. All of these processes help us ensure that we find the right qualities a babysitter should have when caring for your precious children. We want you to go out without worrying.
