Babysitting Rates

Rockmybaby™ Babysitting rates are competitive and set at the current market rate in the regional areas.

There is a minimum booking of three hours to ensure that the babysitting job is viable.

In our experience the combination of the hourly rate and the minimum booking of three hours provide the balance required to ensure our professional babysitters are prepared to attend your bookings.

Rockmybaby™ Agency Fees - Nationwide

Standard Bookings - $16.00 + GST

Emergency Bookings (within 24hours notice) - $20.00 + GST

Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown and Wanaka Babysitter Rates

Standard Hourly Rate - $14 per hour

Public Holiday Hourly Rate - $15 per hour

Xmas Day & New Year Eve - $20 per hour

Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Nelson, Marlborough, Dunedin and Invercargill  Babysitter Rates

Hourly Rate - $12.50 per hour

Public Holiday Hourly Rate - $15 per hour

Xmas Day & New Year Eve - $20 per hour

What to expect

The babysitter is paid by you at the end of the booking in cash, this includes any additional fuel charges that may occur. We can invoice for the full amount and take care of payment to the babysitter if you require a GST receipt.

We will endeavor to find a babysitter for you on request, but can not always guarantee this will be possible.

We suggest at least 24 hours notice for bookings to avoid any disappointment. 

We do take short noticed bookings - emergency agency fee's apply.

Permanent Babysitter Fee

One-off fee of $100 + GST - Nationwide

Annual Subscription Fees

Annual Family Babysitting Fee (unlimited babysitting bookings for 12mths) -  $300+ GST

Annual Company Babysitting Fee (conditions apply, please refer to your area office)

Fuel Charges

Babysitters can charge a fuel charge if they are required to use their own cars during the babysitting placement. We recommend a charge of $0.62 cents per km. The babysitter will keep their own log book of distance travelled.

Car Parking

Parking is to be paid by the family if the job is within the Inner City.

Cancellation Fees Apply

The agency booking fee is non-refundable after babysitter confirmation is made.

If cancellation of the babysitter is made by you (the client) within 3 hours of start time, a minimum of 3 hours will be charged to you and forwarded on to the babysitter.

If we are unable to confirm your babysitting booking - a full refund of agency fee will be given.
