Jess is the visiting teacher for the Hawkes Bay region and lives in Napier with her partner Bradley and their three girls, Lyrique, Jaz, and Alexis.
Jess has over 10 years’ experience in the early childhood sector and is very passionate about providing quality education and care for infants, toddlers and young children. In 2013 she completed a Bachelor of teaching (Early Childhood Education) through Te Rito Maioha, Early Childhood New Zealand, followed by Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership (ECE) through Te Rito Maioha in 2015.
This year Jess is studying towards a Diploma in Adult Education and Training through the Southern Institute of Technology to improve her own knowledge and skills, to better support and foster the learning and development of the educators on our programme.
Jess strongly believes that young children need trusting, nurturing, secure attachments within a safe, peaceful, and engaging environment in order to grow and develop into confident and competent learners. Each child is an individual, with unique interests and abilities and believed home-based care to provide the perfect combination of factors to support and inspire children to reach their full potential.
As a visiting teacher, Jess looks forward to help foster these relationships and environments for our educators and families.
